Hello loves! I’m Alexandra. I find inspiration in beauty, fashion, culture and fitness. Being a blogger allows me to share with others, and develop innovative ways to make the lives of my readers just a little bit better.

My mother’s beautician was intrigued by my fascination with beauty, and she presented me with my first beauty book at the young age of 7 years. It was Fine Beauty: Beauty Basics and Beyond for African American Women by Celebrity Makeup Artist, Sam Fine. Since then, this book has held a cozy little spot on my desk. As I got older, I experimented with different things: coverage and blending techniques, application of acrylic and gel nails, various skin and hair treatments, etc. After some time, there were others who wanted to learn certain techniques. That is when I started hosting classes and beauty based parties. I have done a lot of traveling, and my first trip to Paris, France was in 1999. Everything started to fall into place from there. I was inspired to learn everything about beauty and fashion from that moment forward.

I acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in marketing while studying at Valdosta State University. I started working in the entertainment industry when I was in college. After years of event planning, concerts, performing and playing with exotic animals, I fell in love with the industry. At the current age of 24 years, I am an Event Coordinator and have been working in this industry for over 6 years.
The name Diasehs came about when I was first thinking of a name for a Tumblr page. I didn’t want anything generic, so I spent hours and days with a clipboard and a pink pen jotting down names, phrases and ideas.

I will come up with 3 names that I love and stick them on my vision board. If I get tired of looking at a name…I will take it down. If the name doesn’t excite me anymore…I will take it down. Game plan? Yes? Ok good. This process went on for about 2 weeks, and at the end of that time period, there was only one beautifully scripted name left on my vision board.

Diasehs was it…It just felt right. I get so many questions about how I came up with the name or how to pronounce it. Diasehs is “She Said” spelled backwards, and the pronunciation is D-ee-ahs-eh-s ( /dēäsɛz/).
